For the past few years, I have been looking for the answers for my self-discovery, but the thoughts remained scattered all over. The thoughts like "Do I really have a purpose in my life", "what do i really want from life and how do I really get there", or 'Am I living a mechanical life in the corporate industry, having a monotonous routine".
While looking for self-realization, I had been doing things in bits and pieces. I read Bhagavad Geeta and listened to some powerful personalities like BK Shivani, Jaya Kishori. So I was having some ideas but life was not totally in focus. I was not able to realize my real self, "Who really am I?"
Then I met Prerna. She gladly accepted me as her student. We started discussions with some basic things and the primordial mantra meditation. It started helping me. The scatteredness of thoughts started to reduce and my mind was a little more peaceful. She continued in her beautiful ways in coaching me and guiding me to find my real self. The session where she explained how and where to look for the answers about 'what do we really want from life', 'what is the purpose of our life' and 'who we really are'; during the session she had a very bright glow on her face. I was blown with her grace [the grace of a true spiritual guru]. That moment was a memory for my lifetime. I started realizing that Guru's grace is the most important aspect in self-realization. As even told by Ramana Maharishi, "The self-realization is the result of one's Master's grace". With her grace and GOD's grace, I started my journey in the right direction. I could see the "Bird's Eye" which Guru Dronacharya once guided Arjuna to look at. That kind of effect Prerna's coaching had.
Prerna guided me to look inside of myself in a calm and relaxed state of mind, during the mediation. I started doing the same. There I started realizing that 'Self' was always there, just a few mental habits were the obstacles in the self-realization'. Some of the good things I started earlier in a very humble way, but I could not continue with them, may be due to those mental hindrances. Some good things were always there in my thoughts, but I did not put them in action. Now, I am doing those things profoundly. Something like 'To always read a positive book or have spiritual learning as a regular practice', which I could not put into practice earlier. Now, such things are part of my routine. My meditation sessions are more effective. I am looking at my good habits like 'My early morning Cricket Practice' as the mindful meditation. Such self-realization is helping in my own evolution. My perspective towards life is for the greater good. While this is only a start, I must say that my journey has begun very well. Like Paramahansa Yogananda ji also taught us to have a Guru in our life, I would love to have Prerna as my spiritual guru for this complete life and for my complete journey.
Once again many thanks to Prerna, from the bottom of my heart.
